I am seriously interested in learning some foreign languages, and was wondering if anyone here could recommend the best software for learning on my own. I am especially interested in spanish and arabic. I know absolutely nothing about either language so I’ll need something that starts at the absolute beginner level. I have looked at several different software packages, but was not sure which one would be the best to start with. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Alot of people use Rosetta Stone.

I am a Spanish teacher and have seen many software programs. Rosetta stone has by far the best reputation. It may cost more, but if you are serious about learning the language then it is your best bet.
Have you considered taking any classes? It may be helpful to take a beginning class and have people with whom you can communicate.
