I would personnaly go with mcaffee and i have Dell Inspiron as well and till date mcaffee has been doing good finding spyware and malwares in my system. I got my laptop free at http://www.freebiebizlist.com and it contained mcaffee software added to it

Absolutely, positively Eset Smart Security. Leave Norton, McAfee and Zone Alarm alone. Eset will not hog your system resources and slow it down. I run it on 5 computers and never, ever had any problems!
